Switch between Public Comment and Internal Note from the comment-type dropdown above the text box. Notify only your internal team when you post an Internal Note. Keep the buyer-facing thread clean by moving internal context into Internal Notes.

Technical Specs: When adding a comment in the Conversation section, use the existing comment composer that includes a dropdown for selecting the comment type.
How to post an Internal Note
Open the Room.
Open the Conversation drawer.
Open the dropdown above the text box (Public comment by default).
Select Internal Note -> The background color will change to Purple.
Type your note.
Click Send CTA.
What the Buyer sees
Buyers see only Public Comment content.
Buyers don’t see Internal Notes.
How to post a Public Comment instead
Open the Room.
Open the Conversation section -> Public comment by default
If not, Open the dropdown above the text box.
Select Public Comment.
Type your comment.
Click Send CTA.

Use Internal Note for internal alignment (“who owns the follow-up?”, “what concessions do we allow?”), then post one clean Public Comment for the buyer.
Write the buyer-facing summary in Public Comment and keep negotiation or escalation details in Internal Note so the thread stays readable for customers.
