Assign tasks in the Plan section to drive a shared timeline inside the Room. Add an assignee and (optional) due date so everyone tracks next steps in one place. Aligned sends the assignee an email notification that links directly to the Plan section, with no login required. Encourage customers to add their own next steps so they commit to dates and owners.

Prerequisites & Requirements

  • Plan: All plans

  • Permissions: Any user with edit access to the Room.

  • Technical Specs: Assignees receive an email notification that links to the Plan section.

How to assign a task in the Plan section

  1. Open the Room.

  2. Go to the Plan section.

  3. Click the Assignee button (person icon).

  4. Type the assignee’s name or email address.

  5. (Optional) Select a Due date.

  6. Save the task.

What the Buyer sees

  • The assignee opens the link and reviews the task.

How to mark a task as completed

  1. Go to the Plan section.

  2. Click the circle to the left of the task.

What the Buyer sees

  • The buyer sees the task marked as completed after clicking the circle.
