How Does Aligned Add Contacts to My CRM?

How Aligned creates CRM contact records from Room visitors in HubSpot and Salesforce, and how to turn it off.

Written by Nadav Weiss

When contact sync is enabled, Aligned creates a contact record in your CRM for buyers who enter a Room with an email address. This page explains what gets created, where the setting lives, and how it behaves in each CRM.

Prerequisites & Requirements

  • Permissions: Integration settings are managed from My Account → Settings → Integrations.

  • Setup: Your CRM integration must already be connected.

  • Applies to: HubSpot and Salesforce.

The setting

Contact creation is controlled by a single setting, Sync contacts from Aligned to CRM, in your CRM integration settings. It can be turned off.

On HubSpot and Salesforce this setting is on by default, so contact creation starts as soon as the integration is connected. Turn it off if you do not want Room visitors written into your CRM.

What gets created

  • A visitor who enters a Room and is identifiable by email is added as a contact in your CRM.

  • If that email does not already exist in the CRM, a new Contact is created and linked to the appropriate Account or Company.

  • An existing contact is not duplicated.

  • In Salesforce, the field Aligned contact source is populated with the value Aligned room.
