Internal Content allows admins and managers to mark items in your Library as internal-only. Internal content can never be added to rooms and cannot be shared outside your organization. Internal content stays in the library for team use only — onboarding materials, internal playbooks, and sensitive content — and is blocked from external access. All users can view and search internal content based on their group permissions.
Prerequisites
Plan: All
Role: Admin or Manager (only Admins and Managers can mark content as internal; all team members can view and filter)
Access: All team members can view and search internal content based on their group permissions
How to manage internal content
How to mark content as internal during upload
Mark content as internal when uploading to the Library. Admins and Managers can mark each item individually during multi-file uploads.
Navigate to Library and click New → Upload File.
Select one or multiple files.
In the upload dialog, click the Mark as Internal tag next to each item you want to restrict (or leave unmarked for external).
Review the banner: "Internal content cannot be added to rooms. Only internal team members can access this."
Click Upload.
Content uploads with the visibility you selected. Each item can be marked independently—mix internal and external in the same upload.
How to mark existing content as internal in the Library
Toggle any content to internal from the Library. If the content is already in rooms or templates, it will be removed automatically and marked internal.
Navigate to Library and click the content.
In the drawer, click the Mark as Internal toggle.
If the content is library-only: Toggle applies immediately. Content is now blocked from room add-flows.
If the content is in one or more rooms/templates: A confirmation modal appears showing the affected room/template count.
Click Confirm to proceed: Content is removed from all rooms/templates automatically and marked internal.
Click Cancel to keep the content in rooms as external.
Once marked internal, the content cannot be added to new rooms.
What happens to content already in rooms
If you mark content as internal when it's already in rooms or templates, it is automatically removed from all of them. Buyers will no longer see it.
How to mark multiple content items as internal at once
Bulk mark multiple items in the Library.
Navigate to Library and select content.
Click Mark as Internal.
A confirmation modal appears. If any selected content is in rooms or templates, the modal shows how many rooms or templates are affected.
Click Confirm. All selected content is marked internal. Any content that was in rooms or templates is automatically removed from them.
All selected content is now internal and cannot be added to rooms.
How to filter by internal or external content
Filter the Library to show only internal content, only external content, or all content.
Navigate to Library.
Click the Filter dropdown.
Select one of the following:
All — show all content (default)
External Only — show only external content
Internal Only — show only internal content
The Library updates to display only content matching your filter.

Troubleshooting & FAQ
Expected errors and blocks
Cannot download internal content
What this means: Download buttons are removed from internal content in the Library. Internal content cannot be downloaded by any user.
How to fix it: The content is marked internal. Ask an Admin or Manager to toggle it back to external.
How to avoid it: Mark content as internal only if it should never be shared outside your team.
Downloading a folder that contains internal content
What this means: When you download a Library folder, only the external items in the folder and its subfolders are downloaded. Internal items are always left out of folder downloads. A message shows how many internal items weren't included. If every item in a folder, including its subfolders, is internal, the Download button for that folder is disabled.
How to fix it: To include an internal item, ask an Admin or Manager to mark it as external, then download the folder again.
How to avoid it: Keep internal and external content in separate folders, so a folder download always contains what you expect.
Cannot share internal content
What this means: Share buttons are removed from internal content in the Library. Internal content cannot be shared via link.
How to fix it: The content is marked internal. Ask an Admin or Manager to toggle it back to external if you need to share it.
How to avoid it: Keep sensitive content external only if it's meant to be shared.
