Aligned supports dedicated section types for common content like HubSpot Quotes, videos, and PDFs. For everything else — Google Docs, audio files, generic web content, and more — you can use the Embed section to add content via a URL or embed code.
Prerequisites & Requirements
Plan: Available on all plans.
Role: Any internal user with edit access to the Room.
Permissions: Room owners and internal collaborators with edit access can add embed sections.
Technical Requirements: The content must be publicly accessible or shareable via a URL or embed code. Content that blocks iFrames (X-Frame-Options) cannot be embedded.
How to Embed Content in a Room
Open the Room.
Click Add Section.
Select Embed from the section types.
Paste the URL or embed code of the content you want to display.
Changes are saved automatically.
What You Can Embed
Google Docs, Sheets, Slides — use File → Share → Publish to web, then copy the embed link
Audio files — use a hosted audio URL or embed code from a platform like SoundCloud or Spotify
Generic web content — any publicly accessible URL that allows iFrame embedding
Forms — Typeform, Google Forms, and similar tools
Note: Some platforms block embedding via iFrame for security reasons. If your content doesn't load, see the Troubleshooting section below.
How to Get an Embed Link from Google Docs
Open the Google Doc, Sheet, or Slide.
Go to File → Share → Publish to web.
Click Embed and copy the embed code.
Paste the embed code into the Aligned Embed section.
Best Practices
Publish to web before embedding Google content — a regular sharing link will not embed correctly.
Test the embed before sharing the Room with buyers to make sure the content loads correctly.
If embedding fails, use a Link section instead to display the content as a clickable button.
Troubleshooting & Common Questions
My content isn't loading in the embed section. The platform you're trying to embed may block iFrame embedding. This is controlled by the content provider, not Aligned. Try using a Link section instead so buyers can open the content in a new tab.
Why won't my website embed in a Room? Most websites block embedding via a security setting called X-Frame-Options or Content Security Policy. This is set by the website owner and cannot be bypassed. Use a Link section as an alternative.
Can I embed password-protected content? No. Buyers will be prompted to log in, which disrupts the Room experience. Use publicly accessible or shared links instead.
Can buyers interact with embedded content? Yes — if the embedded content allows interaction (such as a Google Form or Typeform), buyers can interact with it directly inside the Room.
