Archive is a way to remove outdated content from the active Library view without deleting it. Archived files remain visible and downloadable in Rooms where they are already in use, but cannot be edited or replaced until restored. Archive is available in Company Library only and can be used by Admins only. My Library does not support Archive.
Prerequisites
Plan: Available on all plans.
Delete user groups of archived content - Pro and enterprise only.
Role: Admins only. Users and Managers cannot archive or restore content, even when the account toggle is on.
How to archive a Team Folder or file
In Company Library, open the folder or file actions menu.
Select Archive.
Archiving a Team Folder archives all its subfolders and files together.
How to view archived content
In the Company Library view, click the Archive icon.
The breadcrumb updates to Company Library → Archived.
The Archive area is visible to Admins only.
How to restore a Team Folder or file
In Company Library → Archived, open the folder or file actions menu.
Select Restore.
Restored content behaves as follows:
Team Folders are restored to the Company Library root, not to their original location. Subfolders and their content are preserved inside. Restored folder access is set to Everyone.
Files are restored to the Company Library root with Everyone access.
Archived files inside Rooms
Archived files remain visible and downloadable in every Room where they are already in use.
Archived files cannot be edited or replaced from inside a Room.
To edit a file that has been archived, restore it from the Archive area first.
Limitations
Archive is available in Company Library only. My Library content cannot be archived.
Only Admins can archive or restore content. Users and Managers cannot, even with the account toggle on.
Archived content does not appear in Company Library search results.
A User Group cannot be deleted if it is the only access on any Archived Team Folder, because archived content can be restored later.

Q: Does archiving a file remove it from Rooms where it is already used?
No. Archived files stay visible and downloadable in existing Rooms. They cannot be edited or replaced until restored.

Q: Why do I still need to manage access on archived folders when deleting a User Group?
Archived content can be restored later. If a User Group were deleted while it was the only access on an Archived folder, that folder would be in an invalid state when restored.
