Archive a Room when you want to remove it from your active workspace without deleting its content. Use this to keep the Rooms dashboard clean while preserving the Room for future reference. Archived Rooms stay out of the main Room list, and external visitors can no longer enter them. If someone tries to open an archived Room, Aligned shows them that the Room is archived and tells them to contact the Room owner.

Archived Rooms are hidden from the main active Room list
Buyers and other shared users cannot enter an archived Room

How to archive a Room
Go to Rooms.
Find the Room you want to archive.
Open the three-dot menu next to the Room name.
Click Archive.
You can also archive a Room from the main Rooms dashboard where Room actions are available.
What the Buyer sees
The buyer cannot enter the archived Room.
The buyer sees a message that the Room is not available and should contact the Room owner.
How to unarchive a Room
Go to Rooms.
Open Archived Rooms from the filter dropdown.
Open the Room actions menu.
Click Restore.
What happens when a Room is archived
The Room is removed from the main active Room list.
The Room content stays preserved.
Shared prospects, customers, and other users lose access to the Room.
Public access to that Room stops while it remains archived.
The Room owner gets an email if someone tries to enter the archived Room.
Troubleshooting & Error States
Q: My customer says they can’t open the Room anymore.
Answer: Check whether the Room is archived. Unarchive it if you want the customer to regain access.
Q: I archived a Room, but I still want to keep the content.
Answer: Keep the Room archived. Archiving hides the Room without deleting it.
Q: I can’t unarchive others' rooms.
Answer: Only Admin and Room owner can archive room.
Q: Will I know if someone tries to enter an archived Room?
Answer: Yes. The Room owner receives an email when someone tries to enter an archived Room.
