Add a YouTube video to a Room so buyers can watch it in the same place where they review your deck, links, and next steps. Use this when you want to share a product demo, walkthrough, recap, or short explainer without sending buyers to email attachments. Paste the YouTube URL, name the video, and save it in the section that fits your Room layout best.

Prerequisites & Requirements

  • Permissions: User with edit access to the Room

  • Technical Specs:

    • Add YouTube as an embedded integration

    • Paste a valid YouTube URL

    • You can add embedded video content in Room sections that support this flow

How to embed a YouTube video in a Room

  1. Open the Room.

  2. Add or open the section where you want to place the video.

  3. Click the YouTube widget/button.

  4. Paste the YouTube URL.

  5. Enter a name for the video.

  6. Click Save.

What the Buyer sees

  • The buyer sees the YouTube video inside the Room.

  • The buyer opens the video from the Room instead of switching between multiple links and emails.

Which section should you use for a YouTube video?

Use the section that fits how you want buyers to consume the video:

  • Large when you want the video to take more space in the Room

  • Carousel when the video sits alongside other buyer-facing assets

  • Links & Examples when the video is one item in a broader resource list

  • Mobile View when you want lighter, embedded content for mobile-friendly viewing

How to preview the video before you share the Room

  1. Open the Room.

  2. Click Preview.

  3. Check that the video loads and plays correctly.

  4. Share the Room only after the video appears as expected.

Troubleshooting & Error States

Q: The YouTube video doesn’t load in the Room.

Answer: Replace the link with a valid YouTube URL, then save again.

Q: I pasted the link, but the wrong video appears.

Answer: Copy the correct YouTube video URL and replace the existing link.

Q: Which section should I use for a YouTube demo?

Answer: Use Large if the video is a primary asset, or Carousel if it sits with other content.

Q: The Room looks crowded after I add the video.

Answer: Move the video to a Large section or keep it in Links & Examples if it is a supporting asset.

Pro-Tips

  • Put a short demo video near the top of the Room when you want buyers to understand the product quickly.

  • Preview the Room before you share it so you catch broken links or layout issues early.
