Overview
Templates in Aligned can be Personal or Team, which determines who else in your account can see and use them.
Prerequisites & Requirements
Plan: Private, Free, Basic, Pro, Enterprise (all plans)
Permissions: Every user in the account can access templates.
Technical Specs: Templates exist on mobile.
Template Visibility
Template Type | Who Can View & Use It |
Personal Template | Only the creator can view and use it. |
Team Template | Visible to everyone on the team/account. |
Aligned Template | Pre-built by Aligned, visible to all users. |
Role-Based Access
Admins and Owners can view and use all templates across the account, including other users' personal templates.
Users can only view and use:
Their own personal templates
Team templates
Aligned Templates
Other users' personal templates are not accessible to standard Users.
Troubleshooting & Common Questions
Why can't I see a colleague's template?
If the template is set to Personal, only the creator (or an Admin/Owner) can see it.
How do I make my template visible to my team?
Save or mark the template as a Team Template rather than Personal so others on your account can access it.
I'm an Admin but I still can't find a template — why?
Double-check you're searching in the correct tab (My Templates, All Templates, or Aligned Templates) and that the template name matches your search.
Pro-Tips
Use Personal templates for drafts or work-in-progress structures you're not ready to share yet.
Switch a template to Team once it's polished and ready for the wider team to use.
