Overview
Secured tabs is a new feature that empowers sellers to restrict access to specific tabs for external clients or companies. This guide will walk you through how to use this feature effectively.
Scope
This feature applies to all tabs except for the internal tab.
Plans
This feature available in the Enterprise plan.
Getting Started
1. Seller experience
In Seller Edit Mode, you can manage the permissions for your tabs.
Open the tab menu and find the new option called “Tab Permissions.”
Click on it to open a drawer where you can specify allowed users and companies to access the tab.
By default, this flow will require email verification, ensuring secure access to the tab.
Utilize the lock/unlock toggle:
Toggle on (Tab is locked): Locks the tab. To grant permissions, you need to enter the permitted users list.
Toggle off (Tab is unlocked): Keeps the tab open for everyone.
2. Client Experience
When a tab is locked for a client, follow these steps:
A modal will pop up within the tab, allowing the client to request access.
The buyer receives a verification email request, enters their email, and undergoes email verification.
Once verification is complete, they gain access to the tab.
