If a visitor appears as Anonymous in Room Analytics, or their activity shows time but no detail, it is usually down to how the Room was shared or how the visitor behaved. Here is what causes each.
Why a visitor shows as Anonymous
Visitors appear as Anonymous when the Room is shared with the Anyone with the Link permission, which does not require identification. To capture identity, open the Room, click Share, and choose a stricter Room Access permission:
Anyone with the Link (Ask for Name): Aligned prompts for a name or email on entry. The visitor can skip and continue anonymously.
Require Email Address to Enter: Aligned blocks entry until a valid email is submitted.
Only Permitted Users & companies can enter: only emails on your list can enter.
Why activity shows time but no detail
If a visitor opens the Room but does not click anything, Aligned tracks the total time spent only, not individual interactions. There is nothing to list because no links, videos, or sections were opened.
Why a visit doesn't appear at all
Aligned deliberately excludes some visits so your analytics reflect buyer behaviour:
Your own visits are filtered out.
Visitors on your own email domain are excluded, so internal activity does not affect your analytics.
